Clara is a valued member of SvN's Regenerative Design team, where she creates net-zero architecture through material studies, life cycle analysis and embodied carbon benchmarking. She recently completed a certificate program at Parsons School of Design focusing on the chemical composition of construction materials and their impacts on human and ecological health. Before joining SvN, she worked in Toronto and Abu Dhabi, where past projects solidified her appreciation of how architecture intersects with social engagement and climate activism.  Clara received her professional and undergraduate degrees from the University of Toronto, where she held various research and teaching assistantship positions and launched her deep interest in environmental design and its sociopolitical impacts. Her graduate thesis was a densification proposal focusing on heritage, low-embodied carbon and advocacy supporting the adaptive use of existing buildings, salvaging materials, and promoting circular economies in our cities. Clara's student projects, "Material Bank" and "Sitopia," were selected for the Green New Deal Superstudio Exhibition. In 2016, Clara initiated a program with Arthouse and the Halton Multicultural Council, where she still teaches art to youth who are newcomers and refugees to Canada. She also volunteers for ROOTA, a non-profit organization that helps alleviate poverty and provides education for the garbage collectors of Zabaleen, Cairo.
