Drew Sinclair
Managing Principal
Drew Sinclair is a leading thinker on design and planning for transformative urban growth. He is internationally recognized for his work as an architect and urban designer on large-scale projects that address the challenges of rapidly changing cities and communities in transition.
Drew is a Founding Principal at SvN. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping large-scale design and planning initiatives that centre around mobility, housing and community transformation. Drew’s approach originates from a core belief that housing is a fundamental right and that all communities are deserving of equitable and spectacular public spaces. As such, his largest and most prestigious projects have been masterplans that underpin sustainable urban growth, a landscape-based approach to design, and city building through a regenerative lens.
A recipient of the Canada Council's Prix de Rome for Emerging Practitioners, Drew is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. He is a graduate of McGill University and the University of Toronto, where he won the Alpho Rho Chi Medal and Heather Reisman Gold Medal in Design. He is a member of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Minister’s Advisory Council, Director of the Bentway Conservancy Board of Directors, and the Chair of the Bentway’s Capital Projects and Neighbourhood Development Committee. He is also the Co-Founder of Canadian Stage’s City Builders Program and Director on the Canadian Stage Company’s Board of Directors.
