Peace Naturals Building 4 is one of the largest purpose-built cannabis cultivation facilities in North America. In addition to providing 215,000 square feet of cultivation area, the recently completed building also serves as the corporate headquarters and centre for horticultural and pharmacological research for The Cronos Group.
SvN developed the site plan and early concept design for both a new 280,000-square-foot commercial cultivation facility and 20,000-square-foot greenhouse. The building was constructed as a fast-track sequentially tendered process
Building 4 represents one of the most technically advanced cannabis cultivation facilities. The entire facility has been automated. De-humidification systems, lighting, watering and the supplying of nutrients to plants is connected and controlled by a central system.
Post-harvest spaces where plants are dried, stored and packaged for shipping represents 30,000 square feet and have been designed to GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) requirements. These areas have been designed to meet clean room specifications. The GMP area is also home to an Oil Extraction facility.
In addition to our commercial cannabis experience, SvN also brings an in-depth understanding of Health Canada regulations regarding the physical design requirements of cannabis cultivation facilities and operations.
