Valerie is a landscape architect who enjoys taking a project from conceptual ideas to full realization, enjoying the satisfaction of seeing her work completed and loved by the community. She believes in the importance of landscape architects fostering a strong relationship between humans and the natural world. At SvN, Valerie is working on Toronto's ambitious Ontario Line, Toronto's new 15.6-km subway line. Before SvN, she worked in various engineering, landscape architectural, and multi-disciplinary offices and on multiple project types and sizes, including streetscapes in Almonte and Smiths Falls, Ontario, Ottawa's multi-faceted Wateridge Village and numerous stations along Ottawa's recently completed O-train light rail transit system. Valerie graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph.
