Symon is an urban designer and Intern Architect at SvN, currently working on the Ontario Line and the Mount Joy Secondary Plan. He is interested in exploring the interdependency of architecture and urban design in creating safe, healthy, and equitable urban environments. Before joining SvN, Symon gained professional experience at offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and New York City on projects relating to healthcare, multi- and single-family residential, and academic institutions. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. Sympon's graduate thesis examined how remaining government-owned lands in Metropolitan Manila could address the shortage of affordable housing in The Philippines.
