Sing Zixin Chen is a landscape and urban designer at SvN who uses her expertise to find long-term solutions for the built environment that balance human, ecological and economic impacts. Her cross-disciplinary background in planning, urban design and landscape architecture permits her to plan and design projects at various scales and complexities. Sing holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto. Upon graduation in 2020, her thesis received an Honour Student Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects, and her studio work received an honour award from the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) National Design Awards. Sing's thesis was shortlisted at the 2021 World Landscape Architecture Awards. She previously completed a graduate degree in urban design at the University of British Columbia and an undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University with a concentration on planning and urban design, and geography, receiving a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Sing is currently an associate member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects.
