Senior Associate, Architecture
Sandy’s architectural experience has developed through extensive involvement in a range of new construction and having a great interest in the renovation, adaptive reuse and renewal of existing buildings and the greater community. With an honest and considerate approach, Sandy connects well with clients and team members. He has gathered extensive work experience managing and coordinating project teams for complex renovations of post secondary institutions, healthcare facilities, science and technology based projects, sports and recreation facilities, as well as civic and community centred projects, plus commercial/corporate, multi-unit residential and custom residential design projects. With 30 years of creative exploration through roles in urban planning, graphic design & marketing—which includes co-founding and operating a successful independent record company (Sonic Unyon Records) throughout the 1990s—Sandy made the decision to pursue architecture in 2001. Building on his undergraduate studies in urban and regional planning at the University of Waterloo Sandy went on to receive a Master of Architecture through the University of Toronto.
