Reva is an urban planner whose professional interests and experience focus on development approvals, community and policy planning, and the provision of low-income housing. Recent SvN projects include the Ontario Line, zoning-by-law amendment applications for mixed-use and multi-residential projects, municipal approvals for Shoppers World Brampton, and planning work for the Trent University Lands. Before joining SvN, Reva worked at Toronto Community Housing (TCH), helping to implement the master plan, conduct community consultation and deliver low-income housing at Regent Park, North America's most extensive public housing revitalization in recent decades. Reva also coordinated provincial planning appeals at the Ontario Land Tribunal (formally known as the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal). There, she developed a first-hand understanding of the development approval process on both a provincial and municipal level. Reva holds a degree in urban and regional planning from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Environmental Studies (Planning) from York University where her areas of research include the development approval process, affordable housing development and design, private public partnerships and student housing.
