Michael is an Associate Planner dedicated to creating more livable, sustainable, and inclusive communities through design. His professional experience spans the spectrum of planning and urban design services, from concept development and master planning, to architectural test-fits, policy development, planning approvals, and implementation. He enjoys engaging directly with clients and stakeholders in collaborative, planning processes to formulate and achieve innovative and progressive outcomes. Michael has over 7-years experience leading and managing complex projects on behalf of clients in the public and private sector: including municipalities, the Canadian government, private developers, universities, colleges, and private schools, hospitals, and cultural institutions.

In addition to his applied experience, Michael’s practice is founded on his experience as a resident of multiple Canadian cities (and one town) and an abiding interest in contemporary questions of city building. Michael holds a Masters of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Alberta.
