Michael is an urban planner dedicated to creating more livable, sustainable, and inclusive communities through design. His professional experience spans the spectrum of planning and urban design services, from concept development and master planning to architectural test-fits, policy development, planning approvals, and implementation. Michael enjoys engaging directly with clients and stakeholders in collaborative planning processes to formulate and achieve innovative and progressive outcomes. His experience leading and managing complex public and private sector projects includes municipalities, the Canadian government, private developers, universities, colleges, private schools, hospitals, and cultural institutions. In addition to his applied experience, Michael’s experience living in several Canadian municipalities has reinforced his understanding and appreciation of contemporary city building. He holds a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Alberta.
