Martin Chow
Architect
Martin is an architect with experience on various project types across Canada, including institutional, recreational, high-rise, mixed-use and transit-oriented-communities. His creative design process achieves functional clarity and includes civic objectives while closely working with the interests of clients and consultants. Martin's work with SvN on transit-oriented communities, specifically on the advisory team for Metrolinx's Ontario Line, draws on his experience with high-density housing and the ability to intuit efficient design solutions to achieve optimal value for the end-users and stakeholders. Before joining SvN, Martin was instrumental in delivering the award-winning Humber College Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation, from its competition-winning design to its construction administration phase. His passion for urban environments and livable housing, along with his interest in the relationship between nature, urban density and the quality of life of cities, are explored in "Tall Trees, Tall Houses," his award-winning entry for the 2022 Vancouver Affordable Housing Challenge.
