Liana has over 9 years of experience in designing housing, libraries, and other institutional projects. She has worked through all phases of projects of various scales, for both new construction and renovations. Liana was the project architect for a phased renovation of Cambridge Library’s main branch. Previous work on academic buildings includes Monsignor Fraser College with the Catholic School Board and the new school of architecture at Laurentian University. Current projects include a new commercial/industrial building in the Lower Junction redevelopment and a new City of Toronto childcare and tower energy retrofit project with Toronto Community.
Prior to joining SvN Liana was an associate with LGA Architectural Partners in Toronto and has also worked in New York and Barcelona. Her M.Arch thesis from the University of Waterloo was awarded the 2011 OAA award for Proposals/Concepts. Liana continues her involvement in the academic world as a sessional adjunct faculty with University of Waterloo and as a guest critic with the University of Toronto and OCAD University.
