Ladan is a Designer at SvN with four years of professional experience in Tehran and Toronto. Before joining the firm, she gained experience at Delco Urban Capital Group, working on various stages of healthcare and dementia care facilities in Ontario. She has also been a teaching assistant at The University of Toronto for eight courses of design and technology in architecture. Ladan holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Azad University (IAUCTB). She also has a keen interest in parametric design and computational form finding tools, and has fulfilled a large goal of hers by partaking in several architectural technology workshops. Ladan was the instructor’s assistant for the Global Summer School at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, with a focus on the use of robotic arms and sensors in architecture. Her thesis research focused on laneway housing as an infill solution for expanding and enriching Toronto’s residential fabric using the existing infrastructure. Her response reflected on identifying and modification of lots that are aligned to the major avenues, to stimulate and revitalize the laneways.
