Intern Architect
Katerina is an Intern Architect with over a decade of professional experience. Most recently, she was the project architect on the design of a highly sustainable, net-zero-carbon rental building in Toronto and two projects in Collingwood, Ontario: a mass timber office building and the Poplar Regional Health and Wellness Village. Katerina combines her interest in high-performance, sustainable buildings with a keen eye for design that aims to create high-quality spaces that support community wellbeing. She has a broad multidisciplinary background in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. Katerina has worked on projects in the private and public sectors, including community centres, university expansion projects, mixed-use developments, parks and masterplans from concept to construction. Before joining SvN, she worked with Giannone Petricone Associates and WSP. Katerina's project history includes the comprehensive plan for the Holy Cities in Saudi Arabia, a master plan for Beare Hill Park on a former landfill site, and the design and implementation of portions of Toronto's Downsview Park. She has a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto, where she received the Heather M. Reisman Gold Medal in Design upon graduation.
