Juan is an architect with over 25 years of experience leading residential, commercial, institutional and transit-oriented projects from design development through building construction. He leads much of SvN Transit-Oriented Community work, including the Ontario Line, the most significant Canadian transit project in a generation. Other projects include the firm's undertakings in Mexico, such as the Culiacan River Revitalization Master Plan. Before joining SvN, Juan was planning mixed-use and resort developments in Asia and the new master plan for Sugar Loaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, the Panama Canal Tourism Plan and the Centro Mayor Compensar Healthcare Centre in Bogota, Colombia. Before moving to Canada, Juan co-founded an award-winning architecture firm in Madrid, Spain. While in Spain, he worked on projects, including expanding the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Royal Archives of Navarra in Pamplona, and the Souks of Beirut, Lebanon.
