Jina is an intern architect with diverse experience in architecture and interior design. She holds a Master of Architecture from University of Toronto and a CIDA-accredited Bachelor of Interior Design from Ryerson University. Prior to attending graduate school, she worked as a designer in interiors for four years, contributing to projects ranging from concept-driven hospitality, corporate, institutional, to healthcare, mixed-use and cultural programs. She brings a spatial sensitivity to projects that move beyond the physicality of space, while maintaining diligence to create enduring and effective environments. Her desire to grow an understanding of architecture’s role in society led her to develop a thesis which investigates the politics, policies, and processes in urban developments that ultimately affect and shape the urban form. Jina is the recipient of Steelcase Canada Sustainable Design Award (2009) and a Gold Medalist in the Regional Skills Canada Challenge Competition, Architectural CADD (2004 and 2005).
