Izabela is a Senior Planner with five years of experience. Her professional interests and experience lie in land use planning, master planning, policy development, strategic initiatives, site-specific development approvals, transit-supportive development, and community engagement. Prior to joining SvN, Izabela worked at Urban Strategies Inc. where she contributed to a wide range of projects for both public and private sector clients. Izabela’s projects have varied in scale and geographic context across Canada, and she has contributed to them in the role of a project manager, researcher, writer, and engagement facilitator. Izabela has also previously worked at Goodmans LLP and the City of Toronto where she conducted land use research on municipal and provincial policies and legislation for a variety of sites across Toronto and the GTHA.

Izabela holds a Master of Science in Planning and an Honours Bachelor of Arts Specializing in Human Geography from the University of Toronto. Her areas of research include transit-supportive development, walkability, retrofitting suburbs, and strategic land use policy.
