Hugo is an Architectural Designer with 13 years of professional experience in Mexico, the United States and Canada. He has been a member of three award-winning firms designing projects at all phases and scales, from private homes to master planning for new communities. Some of the projects he has collaborated with are designed to the highest possible LEED® standards, such as Colby College Athletic Center in Waterville, Maine, or the TEC Library, in Monterrey, Mexico. Both with a LEED® Gold distinction.
Hugo firmly believes that that enriched architecture design is developed through creating spaces with a social impact that respond to their unique culture and context. He holds a professional degree in Architec¬ture from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico, and is a certified LEED Green Associate and Revit Professional. In addition, he has held academic positions as a sessional instructor on BIM and Revit Architecture. His areas of expertise include programming, design, visualization, project management, BIM coordination and modelling, code compliance, development of construction documents, budget compliance and construction administration.
At SvN, Hugo is currently collaborating in two large-scale, multi-use developments, 39 Newcastle, a project with commercial and housing uses integrated to a train station, and Sherway Master Plan, located on a 150,000 sqm site in Toronto, Ontario.
