Gabriela is an Urban Designer with over nine years of professional practice in Canada, Ecuador and Brazil. She has experience in both, private and public sectors, in the fields of urban design, architecture, planning and landscape architecture. She has been part of multidisciplinary teams designing projects of various scales including master plans, corridor studies, secondary plans, site plans, and buildings. Her areas of expertise also include public realm, streetscape, and street furniture design.

Gabriela holds a Professional degree in Architecture from the Catholic University of Ecuador and a Masters degree in Urban Design from the University of Toronto. She was the recipient of the Ecuadorian Academic Excellence Scholarship, as well as of the Faculty Design Prize and the Graduate Student Endowment Award from the University of Toronto. She is keen to continue contributing with her knowledge and experience to improve the quality of life of communities through the design of built and natural spaces.
