Principal Shonda Wang Speaks at the Americas Summit

Principal Shonda Wang will be at The Biennial of the America’s 2025 Americas Summit in Vancouver where 80+ civic, business, and cultural leaders gathered to explore sustainable urbanism in a changing world.

She will be speaking as part of a dynamic panel The Built Environment: Sustainable Urbanism.

As environmental pressures mount and urban populations surge, cities must evolve to meet the demands of a more climate-conscious future. This panel convenes pioneering voices from architecture, engineering, and public policy to explore the transformative potential of sustainable design—particularly through the lens of wood-based construction and regenerative urban planning. The conversation will spotlight regenerative design, inclusive policy, and innovations like mass timber. These key strategies advance climate resilience and community regeneration across the Americas.

Other panelists include Robert Kozak, Professor and Dean of The University of British Columbia Faculty of Forestry; Ian Boyle, Principal at Fast+Epp; Michael Sutherland, Regional Director of Western North America at Hatch; and Zahara Teshnizi, Senior Planner at the City of Vancouver.
