CityTalk | Live — Nature knows best: How can we unify natural assets with Canada’s housing supply?

City Talk Canada has brought together more than 400 policymakers, community leaders, and practitioners to lay the foundation for collaborative learning and problem-solving across urban Canada.

Principal Jonathan Tinney participated in a lively conversation organized by the Natural Assets Initiative and the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), based on a recent CUI report: "Both/And: Integrating Natural Asset Management into Federal Housing Supply Policymaking." The expert panel discussed Canada’s pressing need for more homes, while also addressing the importance of preserving and enhancing natural assets that keep these homes safe, resilient, and well-served with vital functions like stormwater and flood management. This conversation highlighted a critical issue, not only for community resilience to climate change but also for elevating the quality of life for all Canadians.
