Put together by Share the Road, the sixth annual summit is organized around the “I Bike I Vote” theme to dovetail with the municipal and provincial elections expected this year.
Clara will present at a morning session about Community Events that Encourage Cycling. Her talk will focus on some of the events we have planned for this summer including an interactive tour and exhibit of the West Toronto Railpath Extension, bike tour of recent development projects in Toronto being organized with the Urban Land Institute, and the much anticipated OpentStreetsTO program.
Shonda will present the recently approved designs for 19km of grade-separated bike lanes along Eglinton Avenue, while Romero will present the detailed design of new 1.8m wide grade-separated bike lanes for Dundas Street at Six Points as part of an afternoon session on Innovations in Infrastructure. The talks will focus on the evolution of bike lane design in Toronto, and the details being developed to ensure the safety of all users.
