Maryam has 5 years of experience as an Urban Designer, working on several urban planning/ design projects. She was involved in several urban planning projects concentrating on the public realm including “Streetscape management in Tehran”, “Neighborhood revitalization in Chalus”, “Landscape planning, Kaveh Industrial City”, “Education City Master Plan Integration Project, Doha”, and “Canada Border Crossing”. In these projects as an urban designer, Maryam analyzed, evaluated and designed usage of public spaces, the quality of landscape elements and the coherence of streetscapes. Each of these projects is attentive to the improvement of the environmental qualities in streets and neighborhoods.
Maryam is an expert in the space syntax methodology, an evidence-based approach to investigate the relationship between spatial layout of the environment including the pedestrian and vehicular transit networks with social and economic phenomena. She graduated with Merit from the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies.
