Juan is a Registered European Architect and Senior Associate at SvN with over 20 years of experience leading all creative design phases and development through to building construction; including residential, commercial and institutional projects. After attaining a Bachelor of Architecture at the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, Juan relocated to his hometown of Madrid to work with Pritzker Prize Winner, Rafael Moneo. The opportunity provided him with extensive national and international project  =experience including the Prado Museum extension in Madrid, Spain, the Beirut Souks in Lebanon and Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral in Los Angeles.

In 2000, Juan co-founded darro18 arquitectos, an award-winning practice based in Spain, offering architectural, planning and interior design services to private and public clients. Projects from the firm varied in scope and typology, including commercial, institutional, healthcare, academic and residential projects, ranging from 500 sq. ft. to master plans of over 500 acres.

Since arriving in Toronto in 2013, Juan has worked as a Lead Designer on high-rise residential and mixed-use projects in the GTA, as well as Senior Designer and Project Manager at an entertainment design
company, focusing on master planning hotel, resort and RDE development projects in India, and Vietnam, among others.
