Junior Urban Designer

Gezhi is a Junior Urban Designer at SvN. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto and a BLA from Tongji University, Shanghai. Gezhi grew her interest in landscape during her studio and thesis work as a tool for re-imagining urban configuration as well as regenerating degraded land. Her thesis experimented with transforming the U.S.-Mexico border line into an expandable, productive and accessible land through policy and spatial methods. She participated in exhibition project of bee nest analog design in Grow Op in Gladstone Hotel, 2015.
Gezhi gained internship experience in landscape architecture and urban design firms in Shanghai, Vancouver and Toronto. Previously, she worked on urban park, streetscape, green roof, and facility open space design projects and urban design competitions in both China and Canada.
